1. Overview

By purchasing from Ma Dame Stitch, you agree to the terms and conditions outlined on this page, including our policies on refunds, training, warranties, and machine servicing. We recommend reviewing all relevant policy pages before completing your order.

2. Product Sales

  • All prices are listed in South African Rands (ZAR) and include VAT unless stated otherwise.

  • We reserve the right to adjust pricing or product availability without prior notice.

  • Product images are for illustrative purposes; actual products may vary slightly depending on the model and batch.

3. Returns & Refunds

  • Machines and accessories may only be returned if they are unopened, unused, and in their original packaging, and the return is logged within 10 calendar days of delivery.

  • Refunds are subject to a handling fee of up to 15%, and return courier costs are the responsibility of the customer.

  • We do not accept returns for buyer’s remorse, so please consult us before ordering if you are unsure which machine is right for you.

  • Warranties cover manufacturer defects in materials or workmanship only.

  • Warranties do not cover user damage, misuse, wear and tear, or unauthorised modifications.

  • The warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser.

  • Customers are responsible for delivering the machine to and from our service centre.

5. Training

  • Basic machine training is included with all machine purchases from us.

  • This covers machine-specific usage only and does not include beginner sewing or embroidery lessons.

  • Beginner classes are available separately and listed on our Courses Page.

  • A training fee of R500 per person applies to machines not purchased from us.

6. Repairs & Servicing

  • We offer professional repair and servicing for all major machine brands.

  • A minimum 7-working-day turnaround applies to all repair work, depending on parts availability.

  • Customers must deliver and collect their machines; transport is not included.

  • Quotes are provided after a full assessment; no work proceeds without your approval.

7. Online Orders & Delivery

  • Orders are processed within 3-5 working days.

  • Delivery times may vary depending on location and courier service.

  • Tracking details will be provided once dispatched.

  • We are not liable for delays caused by third-party couriers.

8. Payments & Security

  • All transactions are processed securely via our payment gateway.

  • We do not store credit card information.

  • Payments must reflect in full before any item is dispatched.

9. Limitation of Liability

We are not liable for:

  • Damages caused by misuse, negligence, or failure to follow manufacturer instructions

  • Loss or damage of personal items left with machines during servicing

  • Losses incurred due to machine downtime while awaiting repair or servicing

10. Intellectual Property

All content on our website, including images, logos, product descriptions, and text, remains the property of Ma Dame Stitch and may not be used without written permission.
